The Fully Customizable Option
We offer backcountry ski and snowboard tours from our home base near Stevens Pass all the way over the Crest towards Longs Pass, Ingalls Lake, and Esmeralda Basin. If you have backcountry skied in the North and Central Cascades you may already know how special our home terrain in the Cascade Range is! You may also be aware that there are some mighty long approaches to find the good snow and classic ski lines.
For some of our longer approaches, we are able to utilize snowmobiles as a transport tool. These powerful backcountry tools have one major advantage in that they get you deeper into the backcountry where you will see less people, explore new zones, and generally have an easier time accessing the goods!
Many of our permitted zones are rarely utilized for sled access skiing and we keep our ratios low, typically 2:1 client to guide, so that less time is spent with logistics, more time on your skis or splitboard. We can arrange for your ideal day or objective by looking at the forecast and helping to choose the best zone for the day's or week's adventure. While sled skiing does allow for some help in avoiding long slogs and gaining elevation to find good snow, these trips involve ski touring or splitboarding and utilize the snowmachines for access only.
What we consider when planning a tour:
- Skill level of the skier group.
- Fitness level of the skier group.
- Where will conditions allow for a safe, enjoyable, and timely backcountry ski or snowboard tour?
- How many days does the client wish to be out?
Our Zones include:
- Martin Creek Drainage
- Captain Point
- Embro Lake
- Windy Mountain
- Esmeralda Basin/Ingalls Lake Zone
- Long's Pass Trailhead
- Basecamp Sled Skiing/Boarding Trips to Alaska
- Basecamp Sled Skiing/Boarding SW Montana
These guided backcountry skiing trips are personally and meticulously planned by your mountain guide to suit you. For more information about booking one of these trips, please give a call or drop us an email!
